Black Eyed Peas Biografia

The Black Eyed Peas è il nome di un gruppo hip hop statunitense, formatosi nel 1995. Il gruppo è composto dal cantante e polistrumentista will.i.am e cantanti Apl.de.ap, Taboo e Fergie.

Dal momento che il loro terzo album Elephunk , nel 2003, il gruppo ha venduto circa 35 milioni di album in tutto il mondo e 21 milioni di singoli, e 56 milioni di copie con entrambe le vendite combinate. Loro hanno segnato il loro primo successo in tutto il mondo con "Where Is the Love?" nel 2003, che sormontata oltre dieci classifiche in tutto il mondo. Un altro singolo è stata la hit europea "Shut Up".

Il loro album successivo Monkey Business fu un altro successo in tutto il mondo, certificato 3 volte platino negli Stati Uniti, i due singoli hit "My Humps"e"Don't Phunk With My Heart".

Curiosità:
Elephunk è stato il loro primo album di successo, grazie anche all'aggiunta della nuova voce femminile, Stacy Ferguson (soprannominata Fergie). Le principali canzoni sono "Where is The Love", "Shut Up", "Hey Mama" e "Let's Get Retarded", diventate popolari grazie alle pubblicità; "Let's Get Retarded" è stata rifatta e cambiata di nome in "Let's Get It Started" per gli annunci pubblicitari dei playoff NBA 2004 e "Boogie That Be" è stata utilizzata in molti spot pubblicitari dell' iPod HD.
